Lawrence A. Wendt
January 3, 1953 - March 21, 2020
Lawrence “Larry” A. Wendt peacefully passed away at the age of 67 on March 21, 2020 with his loving family by his side. Larry fought a long and courageous battle against Cancer. Larry was born in Philadelphia on January 3, 1953 to John and Clara (nee: Cox) Wendt and was raised in the Frankford section of Philadelphia. He was a former employee of Estes Trucking Company and most recently worked as night security for the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity at Father Judge. Of all the things that Larry accomplished in life, there was nothing greater than loving and raising his four daughters and sharing this great love with his wife of forty-seven years. He was a man of simple things. He enjoyed spending time at the campground with his grandchildren or just relaxing with his wife by the lake. He loved taking road trips to the mountains, the beach or to watch his grandkids play basketball. He had a quirky sense of humor and made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was full of “Larryisms”. It was impossible not to smile while in his presence. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Victor, Charles, Gregory and John. Beloved husband of Anna May (nee: Velez) and devoted father of Misty (Joseph) Cockerill, Staci (Brian) Turner, Lari (Mike Staines) Wendt and Hayley (Matt Minkler) Wendt. Dearest Bop-Bop of Ryan, Joey, Madi, Bria, Violet, Michael, Zachary, Kiyah, Lucas, Reghan, Naomi and Matthew. Brother of Brenda Hayward, Francine Wendt and Francis Wendt. Services will be soon announced. Donations can be made to https://fundraise.ccalliance.org/blue-star-tributes/Member/MyPage/3942942/Misty-Cockerill
