William R Gee

William R. Gee, of Deptford, New Jersey, affectionately known as Bubby to family and friends. Peacefully passed away on December 11,2023 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born on October 4,1943 to the late James, Sr and Anna Mae (nee: Sorey) Gee, was born in Philadelphia and moved to New Jersey to raise his family. Bill was a proud United States Naval veteran who served in Guantanamo, Cuba. He worked as an administrative assistant in the engineering industry. He enjoyed bowling in many leagues throughout Philly and Jersey; taking trips to Atlantic City, to play games of chance and cruises with his wife and family; and summer trips to the shore. He will be remembered as a loving, caring man who told it as it was. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Nee: Winters) Gee and the late Christine (nee: Carroll) Ingalls. Loving father to Bill (Carol) Gee and Tim (Karen) Gee and dearest grandfather of Bradyn Gee; step granddaughter, Taylor Zee. Brother of Richard (Susan) Gee and the late James (Mary) Gee, Jr. and Wallace Gee; sister in law to Deborah Winters. Sadly, he will also be missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday, December 20,2023 from 6:30-8:30pm at the Murphy Ruffenach Brian W Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Sts. Phila. Funeral home religious services will follow at 8:30pm. Burial private. Family prefers memorial gifts in his memory to be made to the Samaritan Hospice, PO Box 71425 Philadelphia, PA 19176.
