Shirley J. Coppertino

Shirley J. Coppertino passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022 in the comfort of her home. Born on February 22, 1960 to the late Andrew and Clare (nee: Fromm) Coppertino and has been a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia. She worked for many years at Villa de Roma Restaurant in the Italian Market. She loved her family and especially adored her grandchildren. Shirley was a loving and caring person and was very devoted to her family. She appreciated flowers, admired art and loved animals, especially monkeys and llamas. Beloved wife of the late Butchie Lee Thompson. Loving mother of Dena Carlomango, Gina Thompson, Jodie Rocco, Harry Thompson and the late Kellyann Coppertino. Grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Niece of Rondel Coppertino. She will be sadly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Funeral services will be private.
