Rosa ( Potalivo) Morici peacefully passed away on March 18, 2025 at home surrounded by the love of her family. Born on February 12,1 928 in Buenos Aries, Argentina, to the late Alessandro and Rosina Potalivo. After spending a short time there, her family moved back to Italy. Rosa and her late husband Ottavio then sailed to the United States in 1962 to raise their family. Alongside her husband, she owned and operated a Tony's Pizzeria in Pennsauken, New Jersey. She was a deeply religious mother and Nonna who loved her family and was so proud of their accomplishments. Along with her family, her friends meant the world to her, and she was always there to lend a helping hand. Rosa was a traditional Italian woman who was proud of her heritage. Sharing her heritage with her family was a favorite pastime of hers which included passing down recipes, canning the tomatoes every year, and attending the festivals of the Saints. In addition to being a loving, caring and generous woman, Rosa was a talented seamstress who had hands of gold; she could mend anything and even made her own clothes. Rosa enjoyed cooking, visiting the casinos and playing cards with family and friends. Beloved wife of the late Ottavio Morici. Sister of Adolfo Potalivo. Loving mother of Gino (Kim) Morici, Esther (late Vincenzo) Lapa, Sandra (William) Marchionni and dearest Nonna of Maria (Andre) Fabiani, Vinny (Patricia) Lapa, Jessica (Antonio) Montalvo, Tavia Marchionni, Bianca Marchionni, Francesca Marchionni, Gino (Lucinda) Morici, Jonathan (Amanda) Morici, Alexa Morici and great Nonna to 11. Sadly, she will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, especially Nicoletta Daulerio and sister-in-law of Antoinetta Morici, and by her friends. All are invited to her visitation Monday morning from 10-12 noon at the Church of the Epiphany of Our Lord, 11th & Jackson Streets Phila. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon, followed by a private entombment.
