Robert P. McCarter

Robert McCarter, peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on August 23, 2022 with his loved ones by his side. Born on May 2, 1946 to his late parents Henry and Petronella (Pecikonis) MacCarter. Growing up In South Philadelphia Robert enjoyed playing professional handball and going to the YMCA. Coming into adulthood Robert would go on to pursue a career in the local Iron workers Union. Robert would often be complimented on his hands of gold, and would occupy them finding projects around the house. Over the years Robert obtained a nickname as "Bobby Motown" which stemmed from his love of Motown music. Robert found joy in storytelling, and watching his favorite football team the Philadelphia Eagles. Robert survived by his loving children Marcelyn McCarter, Michelle McCarter, Karen Nelson. Robert was also a beloved brother to his sister Mary Renzulli. Robert survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends. His funeral services will be private.
