Richard Holzwarth Sr

Richard J. Holzwarth, Sr., lovingly known as “Rich” or “Richie” to his family, friends, and neighbors, peacefully passed away on October 1, 2026, in the comfort of his home.

Born on December 15, 1966, he was the beloved son of Mary (Nordgren) Vance and the late Fred Gall. Richie was a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia and a graduate of Southern High School. He was employed by Thalhelmer Bros where he worked for the past few years and felt supported by his coworkers.

Richie enjoyed spending his Sundays watching and proudly rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. He also loved listening to Led Zeppelin and watching nature programs. Most of all, Richie will be remembered for his kind, loving, and caring nature and for the special place he held in the hearts of his family, particularly his mother and son, friends, and neighbors.

He was the beloved father of Richard J. Holzwarth, Jr. and stepfather of Toni Marshall (fiancé Richard Orr), whose mother is Carol Urbano. He was the brother of Michelle (Dan) Fisher and uncle of Elonna and Benjamin Fisher. He is also survived by his uncle, James (Beverly) Nordgren.

Richie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be privately held.
