Paw Lilly

Paw Lilly peacefully passed away on October 26, 2026, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, surrounded by the love of her loved ones.

Born on September 19, 1964, she was the beloved daughter of Nam GayLay and the late Ken Maung. Paw Lilly was raised in Burma and, at the age of 46, made the courageous journey to the United States, where she began a new chapter of her life. It was here that she met and married the love of her life, the late Sam Sir, with whom she shared a beautiful life. Since his passing, Paw Lilly missed him dearly and treasured the many wonderful memories they created together. She is now reunited with him in Heaven.

Paw Lilly was a woman whose life was deeply rooted in her faith. God was at the center of everything she did, and her devotion to serving others was evident throughout her life. She was an accomplished pastor and proudly became the first female pastor at her church, breaking new ground while answering what she believed was her calling from God.

She was deeply loved by her congregation at 1st Philadelphia Karen Bible Church, located at 3rd & Snyder Avenue, where she devoted herself to serving her church family. Her faith eventually led her to an even greater calling as a missionary. Paw Lilly traveled throughout the world, bringing God's message to people in different regions and sharing her faith with those she encountered.

Paw Lilly had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. She enjoyed hosting gatherings and events and took great pleasure in creating a welcoming place where people could come together, share a meal, fellowship, and feel at home. Her home was always open to anyone in need, offering comfort, kindness, and shelter to those who needed it.

Family was at the heart of Paw Lilly's life. She was a proud matriarch who worked tirelessly to keep her family connected, organized, supported, and cared for. She was a strong, independent, loving, nurturing, and caring sister and a very special aunt. Her guidance, generosity, and unwavering support will continue to be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be deeply missed by her beloved siblings, Mu Nae, Mu Doh, Saw Arrow, Ta Gay, and Cecelia Moo. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and members of her church family.

Paw Lilly leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, compassion, and love. Through her ministry, missionary work, generosity, and devotion to her family and community, she touched countless lives. Her work on earth may be complete, but the message of faith and love she shared with so many will continue through the lives she influenced.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at 1st Philadelphia Karen Bible Church, 3rd & Snyder Avenue, Philadelphia. Religious Services will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Fernwood Cemetery, along side her late husband Sam Sir.
