Michael C. Werner

Michael C. Werner, affectionately known as Pickles to family and friends, peacefully passed away in Key West Florida. Born on January 2, 1960, to the late Robert and Marlyn (Nee: Drames) Werner and for the past 30 years has called Key West home. When he lived in Philadelphia, he worked for the ILA 1291 for 15 years on the waterfront. A big part of the hospitality industry down there Pickles worked as a bartender at many of the local hotspots. He loved what he did and easily made tons of friends throughout the Keys and made everyone feel comfortable, especially if you were on vacation from the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas. Although he lived many miles away, he never lost contact with his nieces and nephews and loved to harass and torment them lovingly. Pickles was a charismatic man who had a great sense of humor and would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed traveling, having a good time and being the life of the party. He is the beloved brother of Robert "Turk" (Barbara) Werner and Carol (Tom) Neher III. Dearest and proud uncle of Henry "Hetsi" (Michelle) Lewandowski, Bobby "Werns" Werner, Heather Werner (GT), Amber Neher (Kyle) and Thomas Neher IV (Kelly) and great uncle of Colin, Ella, Bobby and Milo. He will also be sadly missed by his many friends, especially his lifelong friend Franny Cavanaugh. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Tuesday morning, September 12,2023 from 8-10:10am at the Murphy Ruffenach Brian W Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Sts. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial private. Memorial donations in his memory may be made to either "Think Pink for Pat", 211 Wolf St. Phila., PA 19148 or "The Katie Kirlin Fund", 229 Wolf St. Phila., PA 19148.
