Kevin J Keenan

Kevin J. Keenan, Sr., formerly of Grays Ferry. Peacefully passed away on May 4,2023 in his sleep at home. Born on December 2, 1944 to the late John J and Margaret (nee: Breen) Keenan and was raised in South Philadelphia. He married his childhood sweetheart and moved to Levittown in the 70s. For many years Kevin worked at Stelwagon as a manager and after retiring worked with Kanga Roofing in Bucks County as a customer representative. He was a simple man who loved life and sitting in his beach chair on the side of a lake with a fishing rod in his hand. Kevin loved the time he spent at Beach Comber resort at the shore and enjoyed meeting friends, he was a local legend and personality there. Having dinner with family and friends always proved to create many happy memories and breakfast on Sunday morning with his family. Also, he would regularly meet friends at the Dunkin Donut on route 1 for coffee and stories. An easy-going man that was fun loving, dedicated and devoted to family. A passion of his was collecting and admiring antique cars, he had a few also. Beloved husband of Mary T. (nee: Albert) Keenan, whom she loved so much she married him twice! Loving father to Kevin (Theresa) Keenan, Jr., Kelly (William) Gamble and Katie (Robert Scott) Keenan. Proud Poppy of Adam, Brittany, Aley, William Jr., Casey, Chasz and great grand pop to Alivia and Alexa. Dear brother to Mary Keenan, Keith Keenan, Brian Keenan, Helen "Doll" Szymczak and the late Barbara Horace, Patricia Ward, Jack Keenan and Peggy Keenan. Sadly, he will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and great life time friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather, May 18, 2023 from 11:30-1pm at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 3500 Bristol Oxford Valley Road Levittown, PA 19057. Funeral services will begin 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later date in Resurrection Cemetery. Family prefers memorial donations in Kevins memory be made to the Katie Kirlin Fund, 229 Wolf Street Phila., PA 19148.
