Joseph R. Adair

Joseph R. Adair "Joe", passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023 at the Prospect Park Nursing Home. Born on April 2, 1936 to the late Albert and Margaret (nee: Brady) Adair, brother of Margaret Bradeis and was raised in South Philadelphia. Joe was known to be a great storyteller and loved to sit on his front bench and people watch and chat with everyone in the neighborhood. Husband of the late Pauline (nee: Weiss) Adair and the late Florence (nee: Barkowitz) Adair (36 years). Devoted father of Joseph Adair Jr. and the late Bertha Grow and Lisa Adair. Stepfather of Sonny Banning, Rosemarie (William) Hart and Eddie (Roseann) Banning. Loving grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday, February 2, 2023 from 7-8 PM at the Murphy Ruffenach, Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home (3rd & Wolf Streets). Funeral Home Service 8 pm. Burial will be held at a later date.
