Jacob R. DiStasio

Jacob R. DiStasio Jr., affectionately referred to by family and friends as either Jake, Jack or Jackie. Passed away peacefully on November 2, 2019 at the Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees. He was born on August 22, 1960 to his father, Jacob Sr and Rose Mary (nee: Simpson) in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. He received his Masters Degree from Weidner University and worked in the legal field. Jake decided to change careers and became a partner and later the owner of Precision 1, a construction company located in New Jersey. In his down time, he enjoyed traveling with his wife throughout the United States in one of his two corvettes. He cherished the time he spent with his son, Jacob taking him and watching him play ice hockey for 24 years. Jake was very proud of his sons accomplishments. He enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles, playing golf and traditional Sunday dinners with his family. He is the loving husband of 35 years to Patricia (nee: McFillin) and devoted father of Jacob DiStasio III. He had a special place in his heart for his "granddaughter" Stella Patterson. Nephew of Barbara (Jim Watkins) Distasio and brother in law to Maggie (Scott) Grundmeier and Lizzy McCleskey. Also, Jake will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family, Michael, Taylor and Tina Dean. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Thursday morning from 10:30-11:50am at Our Lady of Peace Church, 32 Carroll Ave. Williamstown, NJ 08094. Funeral Mass to follow at 12noon. Burial private. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to Penn Lung Cancer Research, c/o American Cancer Society PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
