Ian M Cope

Ian M. Cope, of Fairmount peacefully passed away on November 8, 2023 at home in Villas, New Jersey. Born on August 29,1959 to the late Gerald and Patricia Cope and stepson to Allen Rubin, who meant the world to him. He worked as a successful architect designing hotels, casinos, and retail malls, and owned his own firm for many years. Ian was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, who also enjoyed spending time at the shore with his faithful companion, Anya. His son said his dad will be remembered as a loving, caring, and a loyal father who was equally selfless and generous. Beloved father to Alexander (Lauren) Cope, proud grandfather to Vienna, brother of Lily Cope and David Cope, and dearest partner to Briget. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Tuesday eve from 6-8:30pm at the Murphy Ruffenach Brian W Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Sts. Phila., PA. Funeral Services will begin at 7:30pm. Burial private. Donations in his memory can be made to the Spring Garden CDC 601 N 17 th St, 1 st Floor Phila., PA 19130. Attn Green Street Dog Park.
