Geraldine Gerry Corcoran

Geraldine E. Corcoran, lovingly known as Gerry to family and friends, passed away suddenly on September 6, 2024. Born on September 28, 1940 to the late John and Katherine (nee: Lennon) Corcoran, Gerry was raised in South West Philadelphia, and she resided Swarthmore and most recently in Ambler with her son. A graduate of West Catholic High School, Gerry retired from Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital, where she was an LPN for 25 years. She loved spending time with her family, and her two grandsons were her world. Also, Geraldine liked to watch the Hallmark television station and travel with family; she was an avid Phillies fan who never missed a game. She took great pride in decorating her house for every single holiday, and she frequently needed to rearrange her furniture to accommodate her obsession. Beloved mother of Bernice (Brian) Conley, Charles (Julie) Bowles, John Bowles, and the late Thomas (Sarah) Bowles. Proud and doting Grammy of Kevin and Charles Bowles. Sister of Cassie (Beth Monaghan) Corcoran, Frances (Jean) Corcoran, Jackie (Tom) Donahue, and the late Bernice Inforzato and Bobby "Corky" (Dolores) Corcoran. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Thursday morning from 8:30-10:20 am at St. Dorothy Catholic Church, 4910 Township Line Rd. Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
