Erica Siderio peacefully passed away on December 29, 2025, at the University of Penna Hospital, surrounded by the love of her children, after a courageous lifelong battle with juvenile Diabetes. Though her health was often fragile, Erica faced life with quiet strength, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Born on April 26, 1980, to the late Thomas and Gabriella (nee: Pilla) Eshelman, Erica was a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia, a place she proudly called home. Despite the many challenges she endured throughout her life, she never allowed illness to define her spirit or diminish the love she poured into those around her.
Erica was the warm, pleasant smile that greeted so many at Dr. Testa's office, where her kindness and gentle nature left a lasting impression. She also found joy in simple pleasures, especially trips to the Jersey Shore, where she could relax and make cherished memories with her family.
Above all else, her family was her world. Her children were her heart and soul and her greatest pride. Being a mother was Erica's proudest accomplishment, and she dedicated her life--through good days and difficult ones--to nurturing, loving, and caring for them.
Erica will be remembered as a loving, caring, funny, smart, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose strength shone brightest in her quiet perseverance and unconditional love.
She was the loving wife of Jason Siderio Sr.
Loving mother to Thomas, Jason Jr., Anthony, Jordan, and Alexander Siderio.
Proud grandmother of Jason III.
She is also survived by her aunt Donna Jean Echelman; cousins, especially Donna (Mark) Zuccarello and Pia Zuccarello; and dear friends, all of whom will miss her deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather Wednesday morning, January 14, 2025, at Stella Maris Church beginning at 9:00 a.m. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be privately held at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
