Epiphany V. DeLuca Obituary (1947

Epiphany V. DeLuca, affectionately known as Pippy to family, friends, and customers, peacefully passed away on August 22, 2023 at the Pennsylvania Hospital. A proud United States Army Veteran who served in the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne Division. Born on March 5, 1947, to the late Salvatore and Virginia (nee: Laurito) DeLuca and has been a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia and well as a welcoming smile at the Italian Market. He will be remembered as a wonderful cook and humanitarian. Pippy always made sure that those less fortunate in the neighborhood were fed and loved to work in the kitchen at their family restaurant, Villa Di Roma. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Philadelphia sports teams play and enjoyed sharing stats on all the players. Beloved father to Salvatore and Anthony DeLuca. Companion of Regina and "furdad" to Little Sammy the pitbull. Brother to Anne DeLuca, Virginia "Ginny" (Danny) Trignani Jr., Vincent (late Trish) DeLuca and the late Mary DeLuca. Uncle to Danny (Vienna) Trignani III, Chris Trignani, Colin DeLuca, the late Matthew DeLuca and great uncle to Ava Trignani. Relatives, friends, and members of the Italian Market Business Association are invited to his visitation Wednesday from 10:30-12noon at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 923 Christian Street Phila, PA 19147. His Funeral Mass will begin at 12noon with Military Honors to Follow. Burial private. Donations in his memory can be made to Saint Johns Hospice, 1221 Race St. Phila., PA 19107.
