Don M Davis

Don Davis Sr., lovingly known as "Butch," passed away suddenly on August 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born November 18, 1946, in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, to the late Russell and Grace (Stocker) Davis, Don grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and made South Philadelphia his home for many years.
Don was a devoted husband, cherished father, and proud pop whose life centered around his family. He worked hard, loved deeply, and never hesitated to put those he loved first. He shared 51 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Bobbi (Schultz) Davis, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and strong family bonds.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Kerri (fiance Darren) Davis, son Don (Jeanette) Davis Jr., and his grandchildren Kristie (fiance Kassidy) Sabalauskas, Ryan Davis, John Sabalauskas, and Aidan Davis and by his faithful dog, Coco.. Don is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends who became family. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Judy and Betty.
Don's love for his family was matched only by his passion for Philadelphia sports--he never missed a game and always rooted with pride. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved so well.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Wednesday, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Murphy Ruffenach Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Streets. A period of remembrance will follow. Burial will be private. Memorial donations in Don's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
