Candido Soto

–

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Candido Soto, an ambitious and talented man, passed away on June 19, 2026, leaving a legacy of hard work, love, and laughter. Born in Santo Domingo, República Dominicana on March 30, 1961, Candido was a self-made man whose intelligence and wit endeared him to all who knew him. He was a firm believer in the Buddhist principle, "What we think, we become," and lived his life accordingly, always striving to learn and improve himself.

Candido was a skilled iron worker, having been self-employed in the welding and construction business for many years. His talent for building and working with his hands was not just his profession, but also his passion. Even in his retirement, he never lost his love for iron working and construction, constantly seeking new projects to challenge his skills. In addition to his work, Candido also had a deep love for his family and was always eager to learn more about his ancestry. His interest in his heritage and his dedication to his craft were testaments to his smart and inquisitive nature.

Candido is survived by his wife of 31 years, Leticia Soto, and their children, Itzel, Daniel, Diana, Jason, and Maria. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Carmela Soto. Candido was preceded in death by his father, Jose Ruiz. His family will remember him as a man of wit, wisdom, and endless ambition.

In the words of Buddha, "Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle," and Candido's light has touched the lives of many. His memory will always be a beacon of hope and strength for his loved ones. We encourage anyone who knew Candido to share their memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Your stories and pictures will help keep his spirit alive and provide comfort to his family in these difficult times.
