Bernadetta C. Wilhite Obituary (1921

Bernadetta passed peacefully from this life the afternoon of January 19th 2015 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last months and days of her life. Bernadetta was born in Harvest, GA. Later she moved to Asheville, NC with her parents and sister. Bernadetta only had an eighth grade education but she loved to read books. The Bible was her favorite book to read. She also loved to sing and was active in the church choir. Bernadetta moved to Philadelphia, PA in 1953 and married Leroy W. Wilhite. To this union, were born three children, two daughters and one son. She was a devoted wife and mother. As a Philadelphian she was a member of True Vine Baptist Church where she served both God and the church well. Bernadetta worked and helped many families as a caregiver and domestic specialist for many years.In 1992, Bernadetta move to Conshohocken, PA with her family. And in 1999 she followed her family to the Collegeville, PA area where she lived the remainder of her life. Bernadetta is survived by two children: Tywana (daughter) and Bernard (son). Yvette Wright (grand-daughter) William L. Wright (grand-son-in-law). She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy W. Wilhite in 1975, her daughter Carol L. Wilhite in 1963. Ernest P. Wiley and Stella Brown Wiley (parents) and Marjorie J. Wiley (sister). Well miss you and Love you Mom and your Love will forever be in our hearts. Enjoy your glorious rest!
