Annie T. Mort

–

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Annie T. Mort peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2026, at Pennsylvania Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on November 11, 1958, in South Philadelphia, Annie was lovingly raised by her father, William "Mac" McManus. Throughout her life, family was the center of her world. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and an adoring grandmother whose greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved most.

For more than five decades, Annie shared an extraordinary love story with her beloved husband, Thomas M. Mort. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, laughter, and family. Whether enjoying quiet evenings together or creating cherished memories with their children and grandchildren, Annie treasured every moment spent with those closest to her heart.

Annie found great fulfillment in her career as a local dog groomer, where her gentle nature and love for animals earned the trust and affection of many loyal clients and their beloved pets. She will be remembered for her fierce independence, strong will, unwavering loyalty, and the generous heart she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Some of Annie's happiest memories were made in North Wildwood, where she loved vacationing with her husband and children. She especially enjoyed strolling hand in hand with Tom along the Boardwalk, embracing the simple pleasures of the shore, creating traditions, and making memories that would last a lifetime.

She was the beloved wife of 51 wonderful years to Thomas M. Mort; the loving mother of Annmarie (Danny Hollingsworth) Mort and Jessica (Dino) Cappio; and the cherished grandmother of Gennarino Rollo, Hailey-Jade Lillie, and Skylar Cappio, all of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life.

She was the dear sister of Christine (Robert) Quieti, the late William (Helen) McManus, and the late Samuel McManus. She was also the beloved in-laws of Clyde (Regina) Mort, Sue Mort, Alice (Rick) Aden, Robin (Dave) Clark and David Mort.

Annie will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many dear friends who will forever remember her love, strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Annie's family on Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Murphy Ruffenach Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Streets, Philadelphia, to celebrate a life so beautifully lived and so deeply loved.
