Nicholas Pisa, affectionately known as Nick. Passed away on April 25, 2021 at the Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township. Proud United States Naval Veteran who served aboard The USS Wasp in the Vietnam War. Born on January 11, 1948 to the late Anthony and Catherine (nee: Modica) Pisa and was raised in South Philadelphia, for the last five years he has resided in Glassboro, New Jersey. He was a retiree of Local 628 Teamsters and worked as a truck driver for many years. Nick has worked for the Philadelphia Phillies Baseball family as a greeter and has been there for the past 31 years. He also loved New Years Day and has paraded as a Marshall for Woodland String Band for over 10 years. What brought him the most joy has been being involved with the Glassboro VFW, Post 679 where he held the position of Chaplain. Nicholas loved to help there and even had his wife and daughter involved with the VFW Auxiliary. Loving father to Nicole Pisa and Kristy (Chris) Schmidt. Dearest pop to Taylor Terlingo and Emily Schmidt. Brother of Josephine Pisa, Jean Ciancio, Grace Bonavita and Joseph Pisa. Also, he will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Relatives, Friends, Members of the VFW, Post 679, Woodland String Band and Philadelphia Phillies Organization are invited to his viewing Saturday morning from 9-11:45am at the Murphy Ruffenach Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home, 523-25 Cumberland St. Gloucester City, NJ 08030. Funeral Services will follow at 11:45am at the Funeral Home.
