Margaret M Caramanna

March 9, 1955 - April 30, 2022

Margaret M. Caramanna (nee; DeVita) passed away peacefully on April 30, 2022 at the Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Born on March 9, 1955 to the late John and Margaret DeVita and has been a life long resident of South Philadelphia. A graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School and a former employee of the Philadelphia Public School District where she worked in the cafeteria for many years. Her greatest love beside her daughter was being a care giver to many of her family members. Margaret was a loving and selfless mother who was dedicated to her daughter. Beloved wife of the late John Caramanna. Loving mother to Patricia Caramanna and sister to Dominic DeVita. Also, she will be sadly missed by her dear friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Thursday, May 19,2022from 9-10 at the Church of St. Monica, 17th & Ritner Streets. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10am. Inurnment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in her memory can made to American Kidney Fund and Dialysis Patient Citizens, 1001 Connecticut Ave, NW suite 1230 Washington, DC 20036
