Genevieve "Jean" Bagdon

August 1, 1939 - May 2, 2022

Genevieve M. Bagdon, lovingly known as Jean to those around her. Passed away peacefully on May 2,2022 at the Pelican Point located in Cape May, NJ with her family by her side. Born on August 1,1939 to the late James and Genevieve (nee: Dougherty) Powell and a lifelong resident of South Philadelphia. She worked for many years as a secretary for both the Inolex Corporation and later Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Rectory Office. Jean was deeply religious and with her late husband was very involved in church committees and parish groups. She also enjoyed making the pizza at the church carnival. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, doing crafts, and baking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed family trips to the Jersey shore and the Pocono Mountains, which always proved to be memorable. Jean will be remembered as a loving, caring, devoted mother and grandmother who was also loved by her neighbors. Beloved wife of the late William James Bagdon “Bill”. Devoted mother to Edward (Jane) Bagdon, Joan (Jonathan) Andreozzi and the late Jim (Eileen) Bagdon. Dearest grandmother to Bill, Bob Sr., Eddie, Katie, Nick, Danielle, Brent, Blake and great grandmom of Bobby Jr. and Gianna Maria. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Tuesday morning from 9-10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. Donations in her memory can be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 2319 S. 3rd St. Phila., PA 19148
