Edward J Ogozarek

January 21, 1932 - May 19, 2020

Edward J. Ogozarek, “Piccadilly”, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2020 at home with his family by his side. He is a proud United States Army Veteran who served during Korea in the Pacific Theater as a Paratrooper. Ed was born on January 21, 1932 in Vineland, New Jersey to Alexander and Helen (nee: Pasick) and moved to Philadelphia. He met and married his childhood sweetheart, the late Eleanor (nee: Fairman) on Military leave and returned to Philadelphia following his service to raise his family. He worked as a longshoreman for ILA local 1566, as a “Wood Butcher”. Edward was a strong willed, quite a character, independent, witty and unique man. His family meant so much to him. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his ‘Best Buddy”, Alex. Edward will be sadly missed by his children; Lisa (Steven) McCaffrey, Linda (late William) Cockerill, Carol Ogozarek, Edward (Jane) Ogozarek and the late Margaret “Peggy” Ogozarek. Proud Pop of Nicole, Derek, Tyler, Lindsay, Jenna, Kyle. Dearest great grandpop of Alex, Paige, Brynn, Colin, Taylor, Grace and Richard. Brother of Alexander “Sammy” (Carol) Ogozarek, Betty (Phil) Maul and the late Dolores Ogozarek. Also, he is survived by nieces, nephews. Funeral services will be held privately with entombment to follow in SS: Peter & Paul Cemetery.
