Barbara Ann Rivell

September 12, 1942 - May 1, 2022

Barbara Ann (nee: Wood) Rivell of Grays Ferry, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township, NJ. Born on September 12, 1942 to the late Bartel Sr. and Margaret (nee: Murphy) Wood and has been a resident of Blackwood, NJ since 1968. She was a retiree of the U.S. Government where she worked for the Defense Department. She enjoyed the Philadelphia Mummer’s especially the String Bands and was an avid Phillies Baseball fan. Barbara was a religious, caring, loving woman who was very devoted to her family. Beloved mother of Jim (Kim) Rivell, Brian (Paula) Rivell and Kevin (Andrea) Rivell. Devoted Nan to Jessica, Jimmy, Matthew, Emily, Colin, Lili and Libby. Sister of Peggy Fennimore and the late James and Bart, Jr. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation Thursday morning from 9-11 AM at the Murphy Ruffenach, Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home, 2239 S. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148. Funeral Service 11 AM. Burial will be held privately in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters, 2212 Green Street, Philadelphia, PA 19130.
