Anthony "Uncle Junior" DeSalis Jr

September 25, 1928 - April 9, 2022

Anthony J. DeSalis Jr. affectionately known as “Uncle Junior” to family and friends. Passed away peacefully on April 9, 2022 at the All-American Assisted Living Center, surrounded by his devoted family. Proud United States Army Veteran who served states side in the 1950’s. Former employee of 35 years at Boeing where he worked at the Ridley Park Plant and assisted with construction as a machinist on the Chinook Helicopters. Anthony was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who especially enjoyed watching the Phillies play ball. Also, he enjoyed crabbing at Beaver Dam, visiting Casinos in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, relaxing days of sitting on the beach at the shore but most of all he loved the time spent with his grandchildren. Anthony will be remembered as a straight shooter and candid type of man who showed his loving and caring qualities in his own uniquely special ways. He is now reunited with the love of his life and his beloved wife of 57 years to Patricia (nee: Flaherty) DeSalis. Loving dad to Anthony (Gaynell Laptosky) DeSalis, Thomas (Gina Gannone) DeSalis, Peggy (Butch) Capertina and Joseph (Tammy) DeSalis. Dearest Pop of Lisa, Stephen, Donna, Domenick, Rosa, Vinnie, Michael, Dana and great grandpop of 9. Also, Anthony was also preceded in death by his 6 brother and sisters. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday morning from the Murphy Ruffenach Brian W Donnelly Funeral Home, 3rd & Wolf Sts. Funeral Home Religious Services 12 noon. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Frank R. Gatto Funeral Home.
