Albert J. Aggar

October 6, 1947 - June 11, 2022

Albert J. Aggar, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2022 at the Vitas at Methodist Hospital. Born on October 6, 1947 to the late Anthony and Louise (nee: Jeffers) and was raised in South Philadelphia and recently resided in Springfield, PA. He was a great baseball player and was scouted by the Phillies and played locally for 2nd and Reed. He was an avid Phillies fan. Albert was known as the “Candy Man” because of his generous spirit and loved giving candy out to the local children. Former member of EOM Club at 4th & Ritner Sts., Merry Makers NYB, Riverfront NYB and Mercy Life of Sharon Hill. Albert was known as a caring and generous gentleman who had a funny and witty sense of humor. He was the beloved companion of Marge Russell. Father of Joseph Aggar, Sean Deer, Kasha Lang, Deborah Bove, Melissa (Gary) Russell and Kim Russell. Dearest Pop Pop of 6 grandchildren. Brother of Jack Palio, his twin sister Kathleen Custer and the late John C. Aggar, Michael W. Aggar, Joyce Palio and Theresa Carmody. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Joe Carmody, sister-in-law Joann Palio, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his Gathering on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 2-3:30 PM at the Murphy Ruffenach, Brian W. Donnelly Funeral Home (3rd & Wolf Streets). Funeral Home Service 3:30 PM. Burial private. In his memory donations may be made to Mercy Life, 701 Chester Pike, Sharon Hill, PA 19079. Donations in his memory may be made to Trinity Health Pace, c/o David P. Schmotzer, 1930 S. Broad St., Unit 3, Phila., PA 19145.
